A great way to get to know fellow members and contribute your time and talents!

Annual Meeting ~ Tuesday April 9th 6 PM

This will be the 80th anniversary of the Rutherford Cemetery Association! Please come and join us for an old fashion ice cream social. We will meet at the church next to the cemetery, Stillwater Evangelical Free Church, it’s easy to find! We would love to meet our newest members and reconnect with everyone. The meeting consists of reports from the board members on the events of the year. Questions and comments are always welcome?

Cemetery Spring Clean-up Day ~ Saturday May 5th 9 AM

Each year we gather at the cemetery for our annual clean up. If it rains our back up day is Saturday, May 18th. You can check our Facebook page for information. Our head of grounds, vice president, Don Grund will have a list of projects to be completed. You can also work on your family lots. We will be raking, picking up sticks, filling in low spots, seeding or sodding and mulching. Please bring your gloves, rakes, shovels, totes and any other clean up tools you use. There will be snacks and water for you to enjoy! We finish by noon, so you can enjoy the rest of your day.

Memorial Day Service ~ Monday May 28th at 7 AM

A day to remember our veterans. Our cemetery veterans date back to the Civil War. The Stillwater VFW comes out to the cemetery and holds a brief ceremony in remembrance of veterans. Each of their names is read by the president of Rutherford Cemetery and Columbarium. Refreshment follow the ceremony.

Fall Cleanup Day ~ Saturday September 14th at 9 AM

This year we will have one other cleanup day for the cemetery in the fall. At the end of the season there are many things that need to be done. Our head of grounds, Don Grund will be there to direct and supervise activities. Again, we should finish by noon. Many of our members spend time at the cemetery in the summer doing odds and ends of clean that they see need to be done. We certainly encourage everyone to participate! Weeding, deadheading, watering, picking up sticks all need to be done on an ongoing basis. Your help is most appreciated!

We hope you will be able to join us at any or all of these events!
